Get ready for the ultimate Malibu Food & Wine Tour! This fun all-day trip includes 3 different wine tastings in the Malibu area, food to complement the wines, and a scenic drive through the Santa Monica mountains and Hollywood Hills. The whole day will be arranged in advance by an expert guide so that you can relax and focus on taking in the sights and enjoying the great food and wine!

Malibu is so much more than many people realize. Beautiful mountains, perfect beaches and great weather are all just the hors d’oevre, believe it or not. Malibu is also rich in history and has its own unique feeling when compared to Los Angeles. There’s a reason why so many movie stars live there, as you’ll see for yourself!

The wines from this part of California are some of the best in the world. Many people think that the movie Sideways was filmed in the Napa Valley, in Northern California, but in fact it was set and shot in the Santa Ynez Valley, just a couple of hours drive northwest of Malibu. It’s a great film, but Miles and Jack really didn’t need to go so far to find some great wine. They should have just called us!

The Malibu Food & Wine Tour will show you parts of the area that even most Angelenos never knew existed. You’ll see a Wild West town just across the road from some gorgeous Reality TV show homes (fans of The Bachelor will recognize them). Don’t worry, we’ll try to avoid knocking over any paparazzi as we pass the world-famous Nobu and a couple of other, less well-known, celebrity hang-outs.

Over the course of a wonderful day your experienced guide will fill you in on the long history of wine in the LA region, how Prohibition affected the region and how wine has been coming back to Malibu (and Los Angeles) since the 1980’s. Pinot Noir is of course on the tasting menu but, unlike Miles in Sideways, we normally also recommend a couple of merlots (the region’s perfect for it).

As your Malibu tour comes to an end you’ll see valleys of vineyards overlooked by vast volcanic rock formations, with the sunset casting a golden glow over the mountains and sea, as we take one of several scenic routes, such as Mulholland Drive (through the Hollywood Hills), Kanan Dume or the Pacific Coast Highway, back to Los Angeles.

• We pick you up from your hotel or Airbnb (Los Angeles Metro area or Malibu only)
• Off to Malibu! Depending on the day we visit 3 different amazing wine tasting rooms
• Food will be provided at a tasting room (a cheese and/or charcuterie board, depending on the time and location)
• Drive through some of Malibu’s most beautiful canyons, with incredible views of the area
• The guide will fill you in on local history, culture and hotspots
• We drop you off, back at your place, having had an amazing day
