 on buses with a pre-recorded audio commentary playing (which is always out
  of sync) – we’ll show you the hidden nooks and crannies of the city t
 hat other tour companies don’t (because it doesn’t fit their itinerary
 ) and give you a feel for the real Los Angeles. Uniquely the LA in a Day t
 our is the only tour in Los Angeles – and certainly the only metro and w
 alking tour – on which you can see seven different venues which have hel
 d the Academy Awards Ceremony.\n\nWe’ll start your LA in a Day tour in 
 Hollywood (where else) and show you how and why L.A. became the center of 
 the American entertainment industry. There’s a huge amount of fascinatin
 g movie history on the famous Walk of Fame\, including the oldest house in
  Hollywood (where Charlie Chaplin’s kids went to school)\, the Capitol R
 ecords Building\, the Egyptian Theater and the TCL Chinese Theater\, and y
 ou’ll learn about it all.\n\nNext we take the subway to downtown – it
 ’s actually the fastest way to get there. DTLA is the most dynamic part 
 of the city right now and it’s also the biggest historic downtown of any
  major city in the U.S. The city was founded here in 1781 and it has a hug
 e number of iconic buildings\, such as City Hall and the Walt Disney Conce
 rt Hall. By this time you’ll be hungry\, so we pause your LA in a Day to
 ur for lunch at one of the top food destinations in America\, Grand Centr
 al Market.\n\nAfter lunch the tour continues in DTLA\, then we head to San
 ta Monica on the Expo Line. It’s a lovely way to travel through the West
  Side. Once in SaMo we’ll give you a tour of the area (including the fam
 ous Santa Monica Pier)\, before finishing your LA in a Day tour at 3rd Str
 eet Promenade\, a perfect place to watch the sun set while enjoying cockta
 ils and dinner. By now you’ll have had a real experience of Los Angeles
