Los Angeles has a fascinating history and one of the best things about it is you can still see much of it – if you know where to look. Many of Los Angeles’ oldest buildings, from when it was infamous for being the most lawless and god-forsaken town in the Wild West, are still standing and you’ll even go inside them on our LA: Wild West to Now tour. First we’ll show how and why the tiny community appeared on the far reaches of the Spanish Empire in 1781. Then you’ll learn about the transition of the tiny pueblo, from being a Spanish colonial town with a population of just forty-four people, to being a thriving farming community (and home of Zorro) during the Mexican years, before being captured by the Americans during the Mexican-American war of 1846-48. Finally you’ll see how it took off in the 1870’s, before your LA: Wild West to Now tour finishes with some modern L.A. classics like the Broad Museum and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We’ll also stop at three really cool, interesting, historical places to get some great Californian food on this tour.

LOGISTICS & DETAILS
*Cost: $35 pp (5% of what you pay goes to Climate Cents, a local climate change organization).
*Walking Distance: 2 miles.
*Tour starts 1.30 pm, Union Station (map). We’ll give you info on the meeting point when we confirm your booking.
*Tour finishes 4.30 pm, Music Center (map).
*Children under 12 y.o. do not have to buy a ticket.
*There are 3 stops to buy food on this tour, each for about 15 minutes. All types of diet can be accommodated (vegetarian, vegan etc). It’s up to you whether you eat, how much you eat and what you eat.

This a walking tour. All guests must be in appropriate physical condition. We cannot slow the tour down significantly to accommodate guests who are not in appropriate condition. If you have mobility issues please book a private tour.
We never cancel tours in advance due to the weather conditions.
You are entirely responsible to make sure you are at the meeting point at the correct time. If you’re significantly late you may miss the tour.
We know your plans can change, but there are no refunds or exchanges within 48 hours of the tour start time.
